The Free Market Protocol is open infrastructure for self-sovereign commerce. You hold your identity, your inventory, and your record of trade — and no one can be made to ask permission to take part. It is being built in the open, one node at a time, to be handed to the people.

Trade should be a choice, not a cage.
Every marketplace today is owned by someone who sits between you and the person you trade with — setting the terms, taking the cut, and able to remove you at will. The Free Market Protocol exists to remove that middle: a neutral rail for transactions without discrimination, where the protocol's only job is to get out of the way.
Self-sovereign means exactly that — what is yours stays yours, and a storefront chooses to load it rather than own it.
It is built to be handed over. At genesis someone has to hold the keys, so the founder does — but legitimacy here is earned by being first and out-building, not by keeping control or charging rent. The endgame is immutable control by the people, written into code at the start in deliberate, irreversible stages, so it never depends on anyone's goodwill — or even their survival.

01 · Social
You hold your identity
Your profile, your posts, your reputation — held by you, not a platform. A node may choose to show them, but it never owns them. Your Auth-Key is a single soulbound identity across every node.
02 · Inventory
The item is its own record
The backbone of trade. Goods live on-chain as their own state — you hold the item-token, the node simply displays it. Provenance and custody travel with the thing itself, from stocked to delivered.
03 · Payment
Off the gas circle
A representative-token rail where transactions confirm transactions — feeless to use, with the network's costs shared back to the people who help confirm them. Money as a record, not a toll.
How it is governed
An inverted pyramid — simplify the top to promote the bottom.
Most systems pile rules on the individual and leave the powerful unchecked. This flips it. At the top sit a few simple, universal principles — and they bind the governing tiers themselves, not the person: proportionality (punishment cannot exceed crime), non-discrimination, neutrality. The top is a voice, not a ruler.
Each tier down is more specific, more local, more cultural. At the bottom: maximum diversity and individuality. Representative tiers absorb the shocks that let crowds stampede — stability by structure, not by a strongman.
The network
Anyone can run a node.
A shop, a homestead, an AI agent — each node is sovereign, and together they are the first thread of an open interchain.
